The Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) is India’s largest and most prestigious technology conclave, annually drawing in tens of thousands of innovators, decision-makers, and attendees. Organized by the state government of Karnataka, BTS hosts conferences, expos, networking events, and workshops to advance interaction and collaboration in the tech world. GrydSense recently attended BTS 2024 held from 19th – 21st November.
BTS 2024: A Confluence of Minds
BTS 2024 was a confluence of over 36,000 attendees, including global technology leaders, innovators, and policymakers. Themed “Unbound,” the summit showcased transformative technologies and emerging trends across industries. It emphasized key areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), space technology, biotech, and clean-tech, all while fostering meaningful partnerships through its Global Innovation Alliance and initiatives like the Hypergrowth Karnataka program.

BTS 2024: Highlights
1. Future-Ready Skilling: The summit began with the launch of the Nipuna Karnataka skilling initiative, which aims to train 100,000 individuals in emerging technologies like AI, DeepTech, Cybersecurity, and Quantum Computing. MoUs were signed with global tech leaders like Microsoft, Intel, Accenture, and IBM to help create a future-ready workforce. Chip giant Nvidia pledged to foster local innovation by establishing an AI Data Centre in Karnataka.
2. Global Innovation Alliance: Representatives and delegations from 17 countries participated in the Global Innovation Alliance, exploring new avenues for tech partnerships and global collaboration. Partnerships for startup market access were signed with countries like Finland and Switzerland.
3. Groundbreaking Products: Over 50 startups launched groundbreaking products in DeepTech, AI, Clean-Tech, IoT, and MedTech. These products included AI and IoT devices, blockchain-based fraud prevention tools, and smart warehousing solutions.
4. Sustainability Initiative: BTS 2024 set a new standard for sustainable and responsible events. The summit achieved “Zero Waste to Landfill” by recycling 98% of its waste. The event also featured electric vehicle shuttle services, reducing carbon emissions by 9%, and contributed to the summit’s goal of achieving a 10% reduction in carbon footprint year-on-year.
